Very elegant and exquisite pendant with necklace manufactured in 925 Sterling Silver. Its design was inspired by the earrings that appeared in Portugal in the reign of Queen Mary I, and symbolize nobility and royalty woman.

History:
Saying goes that these earrings (Queen Earrings) are a symbol of female fertility, and it is believed that a pair of these have been offered to Queen Maria I, upon her visit to Viana do Castelo city, wich made them known as Queen Earrings.

In its constitution stands a round part, as a fertilized womb, with a smaller and loose circle within, that could mean the child attached to the mother, that is at the same time an independent piece, as the child will leave the womb. In the bottom part of the earrings is an inverted triangle, which is the feminine symbol.

The main poles of manufacture of this Portuguese piece, are located in the proximity of the city of Porto - Gondomar and Póvoa de Lanhoso (Braga).

Beeing such a important part of Portugal's history and cultural heritage, this jewelry can be found all over the country, even in most distant cities as the counstry's capital Lisbon, or in Algarve, as Faro and Portimão.
